What type of battery is this charger suitable for charging?

This lithium battery charger is suitable for all types of 36V deep cycle LiFePO4 batteries, delivering stable power for golf carts, 36V trolling motors, and home energy storage systems. Its versatility makes it an excellent choice for a wide range of applications, ensuring that your devices operate efficiently and reliably.

Additionally, the charger features a built-in Battery Management System (BMS) that protects against overcharging, overheating, and short circuits, giving you peace of mind during the charging process. Its user-friendly interface allows for easy monitoring of charging status, while its compact and lightweight design ensures convenient portability and storage.

When installing the LiTime 36V golf cart battery charger, are there any precautions I need to be aware of?

Installing the charger horizontally will enhance ventilation and heat dissipation. Make sure to place the charger in a well-ventilated area with adequate airflow to prevent overheating and potential damage.

Is it OK to charge LiFePO4 to 100%?

Yes, LiTime LiFePO4 batteries can be charged to 100%. Unlike some other lithium battery chemistries, LiFePO4 batteries are designed to handle full charges without significant risk of damage. However, for optimal longevity, it’s often recommended to keep the battery's SOC  between 20% and 80% for regular use.

Is it OK to leave a LiFePO4 battery on the charger?

Although it is generally safe to leave a LiFePO4 battery on the charger, as both the charger and the battery itself have a BMS to prevent overcharging, it’s still best to monitor the charging process.

Once the battery is fully charged, disconnecting it promptly is recommended to avoid unnecessary damage.

For convenience, LiTime offers chargers with Anderson connectors, allowing you to stop charging simply by unplugging the Anderson connector without needing to separate the battery terminals from the screws after charging.

However, for optimal safety, it’s advised to first unplug the AC plug before disconnecting the Anderson connector.

Can this charger work with lead-acid batteries?

No. This charger is designed only for LiFePO4 batteries. For charging Lead-Acid, LiFePO4, or NCM batteries, we recommend using our LiTime Multi-Bank Chargers.
